Painting Description

This small watery roadside patch is near Paradise Lake. The dramatic light makes it a natural subject for me.

This theatrically lighted pond with its fallen logs is the first part of an experiment (see also Wetlands II, PS265) in the illumination of only pieces of a scene. The darks add counterpoint to the light shapes in this scene.
