We rented a converted barn on this Hampshire farm property owned by an animal artist, Camila Gardner. In this painting I used a lot of painting knife technique on the piece of garden in front of her house.. In a strange way this technique took me back to my teenage years when I was in a class taught by M.F. Kousal on Bridgeport Rd in Waterloo. He used a great deal of knife technique but in a totally different way.
