Two Girls
Painting Description
This painting goes back to the late 1960s when I was just starting to realize what a rich subject fate had given to me. These two little girls are part of the Martin family whose sugaring operation I have painted so many times. I was fortunate enough to take some photos of these two tykes sitting on a daybed in the kitchen of their house just off Benjamin Road. (See below)
The technique used in the painting of the girls owes much to a watercolour technique used by illustrators.
