Small Inlet
Painting Description
When I view this autumn painting now, I am struck by the strength of the colour. Perhaps it says something of the youthful approach, “Damn the torpedoes, go straight ahead”. Now, more than thirty years later, I would not have the courage to let these colours stand. I would like to think that I have become more subtle, not more cowardly.
