Patterns in a Crosshill Sugarbush
Painting Description
Bowman’s bush near Crosshill is a perfect place for me to paint. Its hilly land makes for unusual compositions. This sugaring operation often includes young women which add colour and drama to the scene. The large size of this bush means that several sugaring crews can come together to gather the sap in a very short time to keep the evaporator fed.
