Painting Description

This once great Victorian house has been greatly damaged by a fire in the early 1900”s. Although a portion remains unharmed, the rest stands open to the sky forming a wonderful eccentric garden sculpture. During our 1998 visit, we called at this beautifully maintained garden several times and always found many gardeners perusing the grounds, notebooks in hand, jotting down species that they wished to test in their own beds.
