Near the Grey Silo Golf Course

Painting Description

The Walter Bean Trail runs along the Grand River adjacent to the Grey Silo Golf Course. Working on a series of paintings showing the Trail, I happened upon this swath of buttercups which added another hue to this already attractive scene.

I cannot recall seeing so many buttercups in the spring landscape in this area. Because of this startling discovery I am tempted to paint many pieces featuring these attractive small flowers. I will try to discipline myself to not go off the deep end.

The four pieces donated to GRCA-Walter Bean Trail Association are: Near the Grey Silo Golf Course, Image # PS204, Piece of the Past, Image # PS203, Rushing to the Grand River, Image # PS312, and Bridgeport Winter, Image # PS313.
