Painting Description

This terraced garden near the top of the hill in Montmartre is a welcome change from the many tourist shops in the narrow streets near Sacre Coeur.

This garden along with a small vineyard is owned by a charitable trust. The crop of wine is sold at auction each year to raise funds for Parisian charities. This stunning place is just up the hill from Au Lapin Agile, a hangout for the Impressionists. All in all, this part of Paris, as it is now, fulfills all the romantic desires a person could have.
