Inspired by Haddon Hall
Painting Description
As Canadians, we knew the name Haddon Hall because Eaton’s used it as a trademark for some of their fancy goods. Both at home and at our gallery we used china by Minton that bears that name. We were not prepared when we visited Haddon Hall in Derbyshire for the overwhelming beauty of its garden. I chose to place Janet Lynn’s little cat, Pico, on the steps in this mural.
