End of the Land, Newfoundland

Painting Description

For a landlubber this bit of land at the end of the northeastern tip of the Avalon peninsula fulfills a romantic expectation. Punctuated only by this government facility, the land is empty of anything that speaks of humans. In the sea we could see whales cruising. I realize that my conditioning makes me want at least traces of people. For many others this lonely untouched country would be ideal.
