Carpet of Bluebells
Painting Description
I’m pleased to employ three former Britishers at my gallery and their reaction to this painting was most enthusiastic. Bluebells occupy a sweet spot in the heart of the British as trilliums do for us here in Ontario. These springtime wild flowers last for only a month, but they do appear all over Britain. The village that I show here at the end of the path is Buckland, a small Cotswold village. This village is one of several gems on a necklace called the Cotswold Way. Now loved by hikers, this trail was once a road that connected Broadway to Cheltenham.
