Roses around the Tree

Painting Description

In 1979 following a show that I presented at Ontario House in London England, Marilyn and I rented an ancient house, “Oak Corner” in the walled town of Rye. Three miles from Rye is Winchelsea another walled hill town. These tile-hung houses from that small town are typical of a building style in Kent. The range and number of blooms support the motto for Kent, which is “the garden of England”.
