Locronan, France
Painting Description
This small ancient town in Brittany was first incorporated in 1505. Many of the old stone buildings have been preserved from the time that it was a centre for producing hemp.
We visited this town for only a morning on a cruise around the U.K. I was much taken and have resolved to return to Brittany which has not only a rugged coast but also a rolling agricultural interior.
