Beaver Dam, Muskoka

Painting Description

I approach each painting looking for a particular point of view. Since most of my paintings of the North are strong, I decided to try a very soft rendering of this beaver dam just off Highway 141. Using acrylic in a pastel way, I drew the bones of this scene with a soft gray line. I think that I have captured a quietness that would have been almost impossible in a more vigorous handling.
