Winter Procession
Painting Description
As with many of my paintings, I have drawn elements together to compose a scene. The meetinghouse I used here is on the Conestogo River west of St. Jacobs. Just off Benjamin Road in Waterloo is the location of the small concrete bridge. The muddy/weedy stream comes from a photo I took in the early 1980’s near Elmira. I work this way because I believe that I can enhance an idea by choosing the components of a painting.
