Willow Street Tracks
Painting Description
This view is from Willow Street in Waterloo, just down the block from my former gallery. The path beside the railroad tracks is well travelled. There are only two trains a day on this line which winds past the Waterloo Square on its way to Elmira. This corridor into the uptown has become a quiet shortcut and in my view a very pretty one. I was interested in drawing the viewer’s eye to the old train station which is now an upmarket haberdashery.
