Painting Description

This is a romantic springtime rendering of white cattle near a small barn. I softened the small creek in the foreground.

Clearly I emphasized the white on green colour scheme in this storybook version of the country in spring. It all started with a group of young white cattle that I saw in a field beside the Conestogo River just south of the small town of Conestogo. I enjoy the process of starting with an actual place and time to drift off the actual scene to create a storybook version.
