Water and Grass

Painting Description

Sunlight glints off the thawing water of the Conestogo River. The grass along the river’s edge droops into mounds after a hard winter.

When I am out in the country taking photos I look for bits and pieces that I think might be useful as components in a painting. On later reflection I occasionally find that one of these vignettes is attractive enough to be the basis for a painting on its own.
