Painting Description

These four brothers are reclaiming wood from a recently demolished driving shed. One of these fellows has just purchased a rundown farm near Crosshill. With the help of his family, he is working hard to put this farm into tip-top shape. Growing up, as they have in Mennonite tradition, the idea of recycling is not new. The re-use of old materials sometimes accounts for the surprising colour combination in many of the Amish and Mennonite farmsteads.
