Painting Description

This is a favourite farmstead, or at least it was when I painted this small piece. The house has since gone through many additions and revisions. Now much later, this simple family home has lost much of its charm for me. I had not realized when I first started painting Mennonite country that the changes to this lovely rural area would be so swift and extensive. I still find Mennonite country attractive, just different.
