Warm Spring Day

Painting Description

A warm day at the beginning of the season when the snow is still intact makes for labourious work. Plunging through snow that may cover a hole slows even a strong young man rather cautious as to where he stops. The demand of the quickly flowing sap means, however, that the tree hung pails must be emptied with speed before they spill their sticky clear cargo onto the snow that surrounds the base of the trees.
