The family involvement on the Mennonite farms is total. From the earliest days children “help” with the many activities. It is not surprising to me that the family bond is so strong and that the feeling of unity of purpose is so intense. This sugaring scene is in the St. Jacobs area, not far from all the tourist traffic.
