Painting Description

This slight watercolour shows the highway as it rises and falls in an eccentric parallel to the river. Every time I go to this, the Charlevois area of Quebec, I am struck by the determination of the farmers of these small holdings as they work land that is not really very hospitable to agriculture. But it”s so pretty.
