View from the Pub, St. Mary in the Marsh
Painting Description
I enjoy painting scenes that contain people or animals that animate a view. This ancient church is on the Isle of Oxney in Kent in the heart of rich agricultural land. Of interest to those of a literary bent is the fact that Edith Nesbitt, author of The Railway Children, attended this church for many years. I have also painted a view from the church looking back at the pub.
