View from the Maple Bush
Painting Description
Using photos that I took of David B. Martin working with his team of draft horses, I transplanted a view from just north of St. Clements. I was particularly interested in the light effects. This is a dramatic lighting which I have come to call “come and go” lightlighting that is not even or consistent.
