View from the House, Indian Burying Ground, Newfoundland

Painting Description

We arrived by open boat at this all but abandoned village on the eastern shore of Newfoundland on our way to a spot just a few miles down the coast. I was there to paint a commission for an exploration company that was hoping to develop a mine in the area. The mine did not happen but the painting did.
