View from the Hill (B)
Painting Description
Apart from a view of areas of opaque paint, there is little to distinguish this view from a traditional transparent watercolour. I enjoyed this technique but, like watercolour, there is very little forgiveness for a misstep. Opaque painting allows for endless revision which can be dangerous, as the temptation is to repaint again and again, making not necessarily a better painting but only a different work.
