This portrait of Wellesley entrepreneur Vernon Erb and his Wife, Viola, commemorates their 50th wedding anniversary and also the 50th anniversary of the founding of their company, Erb Transport. The family-owned Erb Group of Companies has developed from one man and a truck to one of the largest refrigerated fleets in Canadatruly a local success story and a large employer in the Waterloo region and across the country. Reproductions of this painting proudly hang in each of Erb’s ten terminals throughout North America, reminding the employees of their very popular founder, now retired, and his constant commitment to “Service, Satisfaction and Success”.
