Painting Description

Through a succession of vessels, the sap from the maples reaches the evaporator in the sugar house. The tanks beside the building hold the clear liquid as it awaits the slow process of boiling down. When the weather is warm and the sap is running, there is no way to avoid timely gathering and then storage must be available.
