Two Teams in the Sugarbush

Painting Description

Activities like sugaring and harvesting require a great deal of manpower because in both of these activities time is of the essence. As more field equipment becomes popular with the Old Order Mennonite farmers, the number of hired men is diminished and so often young women become involved in gathering the sap. This painting predates that development.
