Painting Description

A large tree wreathed in vines caught my particular attention in the Hampshire woods near the farmhouse cottage that we rented in 2014.

I am trying to be more perceptive of the many painting opportunities, not just at home, but also when we travel. There was a swath of woods through which the road curved up a hill very near the former sheep farm where we had rented the farm house in July, 2014. This huge tree attracted my attention and by tightening the focus as I painted, I attempted to draw the viewer’s eye to share my experience.
