Trail to the Sugar Shanty (B)

Painting Description

This painting shows a typical sugar bush off-season. The shanty owned by George Martin sits right on the edge of Waterloo as the city creeps out into the country. When I painted this piece, this sugar bush was a mile outside of the city. This farm will be the next area to be developed for housing, I fear.
