Gliding smoothly past the milk cans on their stand, the sleigh, with its homemade box, heads for the Thursday stockyards. This calf will go to a new home to grow up. A long trip like this, with a horse-drawn sleigh, will be made more worthwhile by the socializing at the market, and perhaps this sleigh will have a different cargo on the way home. It really depends on the prices that day.
