A romantically painted snippet of nature focuses on three elements, an old tree trunk, a stump, and a broken young tree.

This painting shows the influences of Richard Schmid, book illustrators and the canvas surface, which lead me to the tight handling on the three selected elements and the loose almost colourfield handling of the space surrounding those elements.
