Painting Description

The third person sits on a board that is supported by the cutter seat in this winter painting.

This scene is very rare because of several factors. Very few cutters are still used as the roads are now salted and ploughed making the cutter not fit for purpose. Having an open air vehicle in winter is hardly ever seen as the covered sleigh or buggy has become the norm.
