Sunfish Area House
Painting Description
In this painting I made a stab at combining line (sepia ink) and masses of acrylic. I was out painting with a group of artists near Sunfish Lake. For several years this group of people painted together on a weekly basis but mostly from a model. I am torn on the question of plein air painting as the time frame is so short that I can’t see doing much more than a painted sketch. I should mention that I am still intrigued by the combination of line and mass.
*This original was part of a large group of paintings donated by the artist to Grand River Hospital in 2012. To see paintings donated: GRHDONATION.
