Painting Description

Although it is tempting to look upstream from this point towards the picturesque covered bridge at West Montrose, this view, devoid of buildings, is also most attractive. I first started painting this area in the late 1960’s. The trees have now grown and have almost obscured the view of this idyllic setting. Over the years, many views around the region have shifted as the landscape has changed. Many times the paintings that I do are inspired by photos that I have taken many years ago.
