Painting Description

It is interesting to me how my travels in England have influenced my paintings of Waterloo County. Seeing the much praised English countryside has heightened my awareness of background/backdrop which shows itself in this Meeting House piece. Perhaps no other single aspect of Mennonite life draws as much comment as the white Mennonite church with its long line of horses and carriages.
