Sugar Shanty near Paradise Lake
Painting Description
Perhaps the most popular of my Mennonite life paintings are my depiction of maple syruping. This view with the steam pouring through the roof showcases an area about five miles from my gallery. Unfortunately this shanty is no longer standing but has been replaced by a modern version. I am told that this is progress. I’m not so sure.
