Painting Description

In 1979 I mounted an exhibition at Ontario House in London, England. This painting was one of the thirty paintings from that show. I think that this early spring study in grays is strengthened by the almost stage lighting I used to create definite contrast. Without a strong approach, a subject like this could easily turn into a coloured soup.
