Sugar Bush Edge
Painting Description
Sometimes I can use a pattern such as this mix of snow and bare ground as a springboard, no pun intended, for the creation of a painting. My paintings are not idea driven but rather visually inspired so that is why my photo library with its many visual tidbits is so important. These photographic slices, often not much more than crumbs of something that caught my eye, are the ingredients with which I make my creative cake. This gets me into trouble with people who want my pieces to be totally factual presentations rather than aesthetic conceptions.
