Painting Description

I was attracted by the fungus growing from this stump in a spring bush. I try to stay alert to pieces of interest that may play a part in a larger, more complicated work. I realize that a small curiosity such as this might go unnoticed to the casual observer of one of my paintings but would be there as a reward for the viewer who really looks.
