Stroh’s General Store, Conestogo
Painting Description
This rendition of a general store in Conestogo is an example of my approach in 1968. Notice how strong the contrasts are in this early painting. The technique is a combination of staining (transparencies) and opaques. I still use an approach derived from this technique when I paint my travel sketches.
