Painting Description

This market is set up in Campden Town, a decidedly unfashionable area of North London, at least for now. Great changes are happening as real estate prices apply pressure to areas once considered less desirable. Our path to a book publisher took us right through this area, a congested and energetic street market. It put me in mind of the Eastenders T.V. show which I enjoy. Previous to our visit, the only thing I knew about that area was the name because of a group of painters from the 1920’s and 30’s who took their name from this then grotty borough.
