Staircase of Roses
Painting Description
Haddon Hall is a wildly romantic castle in Derbyshire, England. A favourite of ours, we often return to this serious stone edifice set on a high hill. The approach is across a small valley with a wide stream and a small bridge. Parts of this building are medieval with newer additions, such as the stone banister with its hundred year old roses.
