Painting Description

The colours of the spring, so welcome after the gray/blues of the winter, frame the Conestogo River. One of the things that I have so enjoyed in the many years that I painted this local area is the change of seasons. Each year as the seasons unfold I see new colours, new views. I am surprised that so many things have escaped my attention and I am almost embarrassed that I could have been so blind. I have painted this view many times and yet somehow it always seems new as I spot new combinations of hue and texture.
