Painting Description

The west side of Waterloo and into Perth County is the domain of the Old Order Amish. In towns like Milverton or Millbank, it is quite common to see these rather orthodox individuals. In this piece I show an Amish man with the traditional wide brimmed hat along with two kids in a heavy wagon with steel-rimmed wheels rumbling along the highway coming back from the mill.
