Painting Description

A stream rushes down a narrow channel in Spearfish Canyon, South Dakota. Dotted here and there are small farms like the one in the background.

As we drove west we encountered growing numbers of bikers, as it turned out on their way to a meet in Sturgis, South Dakota. The roar of the bikes interrupted the peaceful quality of the 11 mile long valley near Rapid City.
