Painting Description

This dreamy landscape with subtle shades of green and blue-gray is located in the Cotswolds of England. Each subject that I tackle attracts me for its own reason. In this case, the soft tranquility of this relatively featureless landscape allowed me, no persuaded me, to look closely for the subtle changes of hue and tone. As I painted this piece, I thought about the addition of a punt in this near Oxford scene and decided against guilding the water lilies.
