Painting Description

Soft hues in warms and cools in this snow-covered landscape combine to create a peaceful scene at the edge of Waterloo.

Originally I thought of this small bit of landscape as a setting for some activity but as so often happens to me, I changed my mind and just focused on the tranquility of this view. It is common for me to start out with a concept for a painting only to find that the painting mutates to present other possibilities.
